Oral Surgeon
Dr. Aaron Liddell completed his dental education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2005. He then earned his medical degree from UT Health San Antonio, where he also completed a six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery before graduating in 2011. He previously completed his undergraduate studies in medical biology at the University of Utah.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Liddell is continually involved in continuing education as both a teacher and a learner. He lectures nationally for the CMF section of AO North America, focusing on facial trauma and reconstruction. He has completed advanced training in orthognathic surgery, TMJ replacement surgery, and TMJ arthroscopy. Dr. Liddell is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of all three organizations and serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Liddell is committed to delivering high-quality surgical outcomes for the maxillofacial region. His clinical interests include orthognathic surgery, facial trauma and reconstruction, and the surgical management of advanced temporomandibular joint disease. He incorporates the latest technology to provide fully customized patient care. Dr. Liddell served as a team physician for USA Cycling and the Colorado Avalanche. He is currently on the medical team for the Denver Nuggets.
Dr. Liddell is married and has three children. In his free time, he enjoys all things outdoors, especially cycling, in which he competes nationally. He currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Swedish Medical Center, where he is also the Section Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the past Chief of Surgery. In addition, Dr. Liddell is the fellowship director of the COS/TESS facial surgery fellowship, an AO North America–sponsored program that trains fellows for one year through a multidisciplinary team approach in facial trauma and reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, and head and neck cancer surgery.
